Swan Blue Imperial Egg Jewelry Box (Medium)

The egg is made based on the Swan egg - a jewelry egg, one of the fifty-two imperial Easter eggs made by the company of Karl Faberge for the Russian imperial family. The egg was created in 1906 by order of Nicholas II, who gifted it to his mother Maria Feodorovna as a traditional gift for Easter in 1906.
The original jewelry egg is currently owned by the Edouard and Maurice Sandoz Foundation in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Our jewerly egg is covered with blue enamel, it opens not exactly, but as if along the line of the chip. In the middle the egg contains a surprise - another box with a swan on the lid.
