COMMEDIA DEL ARTE (Italian Commedia dell'Arte, from Commedia – "comedy, theater" and l'Arte – "craft, skill, profession"; see "art") is a traditional Italian street theater also called the comedy of masks. It was born in the 10th century in Venice, the city of processions and carnivals. Pierrot Clown is melancholy and naive. He wears white clothes with long sleeves and makes powder on his face. Sometimes he adds a tear to the mask. Handmade hanging Christmas tree ornament. The doll's body is made of textile, its head and legs are made of biscuit porcelain. The face is painted with acrylic paints. Silk fabrics, velvet, lace, and silver cords are used in the manufacture of the doll.
