Flower Ornament and Prayer Ring

The 24K gold plated silver ring with enamel is adorned with a traditional ornament: four-leaf flowers and tiny crosses, where the flowers are formed into circles.

In old times, this ornament was a symbol of the motion of the sun and the moon, where the cross symbolizes the sun and circle symbolizes a lunar day, in cooperation and harmony with one another.  In Christianity, the circle became a sign of God and eternity, and the cross - a symbol of Christ.

"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me", is written on the inside of the ring in old Slavic writing.
