Feodorovskaya Mother of God Wooden Orthodox Icon

The Feodorovskaya Mother of God is one of the oldest miraculous icon. According to the legend, the icon disappeared from the chapel near the Volga River after the attack of Batu and appeared a year later in the forest near Kostroma. The icon was seen carried around the city by a warrior in armor Feodor Stratelates. Since then, the icon was called Feodorovskaya. Michael I of Russia, the first Russian Tsar of the House of Romanov, was blessed with this icon. In this image, the Most Holy Theotokos is revered as the patroness of family well-being, the birth of children among childless couples.
