Grazing Chestnut Foal Figurine - porcelain Horse

This wonderfully-unique and tastefully-elegant figurine porcelain Horse is made by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, and imported in very limited quantities. The very first figurines to be made at the Imperial Porcelain Factory were created in the mid-eighteenth century by Dimitry Vinogradov, the father of Russian porcelain. He fashioned a porcelain bear, and to this day figurines are still made to his original techniques - hand-made out of soft-paste or hard-paste porcelain. Almost all of them are painted by hand in under-glaze or over-glaze. There is a wide variety of animal figurines such as cats, dogs and horses, as well as exotic representations of African and Arctic wildlife.
