These earrings are made inthe style of Russian "Finift" art - by masters of the craft. This art of painting on enamel dates back to the 1700's Russia, where master crafstmen created beautiful icons for the Orthodox church. After the year 1917, Finift artists started making everyday-wear jewelry, brooches and home decor items.
