Finift Enamel Rowanberry Earrings

These earrings are made in the style of Russian "Finift" art - by masters of the craft. This art of painting on enamel dates back to the 1700's Russia, where master crafstmen created beautiful icons for the Orthodox church. After the year 1917, Finift artists started making everyday-wear jewelry, brooches and home decor items. 

These Finift Rowanberry earrings are handmade and handpainted on enamel which rests on a setting made from a jewelry alloy. The jewelry alloy base is light in color, but over time has the ability to turn darker - this is traditional to the Finift craft! Do not get alarmed...
