Growing crystals is so much fun, but once you grow them, what do you do with them? This book starts with crystal growing, and then the crystals are used as a key component for your own tiny dioramas, combined with miniature figurines, clay scenery, and paper cut-outs. There are three suggested “mini world” designs: a coral reef, a dragon’s lair and a unicorn valley. Start by growing the crystals – with pipe cleaner bases – in specific shapes and colors. Then mix and sculpt the air-dry clay to make a scene base and accessories for your scene. Assemble the cardstock jewel-shape diorama holders and assemble the scene, adding the three mini figurines (dragon, seahorse and dragon) to add more interest! A combination of photographic and illustrated instructions make the whole process easy to follow – or use them as a guideline for your own ideas.
