By using tin, extreme heat and lacquer, artists were able to create the appearance of a gilded gold finish – they apply a silver-tin powder on a product before their trip to the kiln, so that the product gets a honey-golden color. Each piece is hand decorated with heat-resistant mineral paints. After the painting is done, the piece gets a generous coating of lacquer.
