This is a pendant from our collection of Russian-styled Easter egg pendants. The very first precious jeweled Easter Egg was created for the Russian Emperor by Karl Faberge in 1885, to be given to the Empress as an Easter gift. The Empress was so impressed, that such eggs became a tradition that lasted until the end of the reign of the Russian monarchy in 1917. This pendant makes a wonderfully versatile piece of jewelry that can be worn in a great variety of situations.
