It is said, the origin of the ancient icon, Our Lady of Vladimir, can be traced back to 1125! The oldest known representation of Our Lady of Vladimir is presently located at the Tretjakow Gallery in Moscow. The icon is believed to have been painted in the 12th century by a Byzantine artist, following the "Eleusa" type of Marian iconography, which portrays the Virgin tenderly embracing the Christ Child.

This exquisite egg is a testament to artistry and nature's harmony, lovingly handcrafted from natural linden wood. A delicate gold leaf ornamentation graces its surface, seamlessly nestled within a crevasse specially carved into the wood.

The intricate placement of the gilded design creates a stunning interplay between the organic texture of the wood and the shimmering elegance of gold, making each piece a unique treasure.
