Lilies of the Valley Imperial Egg Music Box
Fabergé-style egg in red enamel with lily-of-the-valley motifs, pearls and gold details. Inside reveals a miniature Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood and plays Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake,” blending artistry, history, and melody.
The Lily of the Valley egg was made in 1898 by the great jeweler to the Russian imperial court Peter Carl Fabergé (1846–1920) for Emperor Nicholas II, who gave it as an Easter present to his wife, Empress Alexandra. The elegant egg-shaped box features decorative Swarovski crystals and an enamel finish. It makes a great gift on its own, or you can place a surprise gift inside it. This gorgeous egg box is a true work of the imagination, as well as a beautiful piece of art.
