The Red Horse design is based on the ancient fairy tale illustration from one of the oldest Russian cities, the Great Novgorod. This beautiful set comes from the Imperial Porcelain Factory, the oldest porcelain producer in Russia. Throughout the company's long history, its products have won numerous prizes, both in Russia and abroad, including the exhibitions in London, Paris, New York, Brussels, and Vienna.
This set of two teapots would make for an interesting and useful gift. Two teapots of different sizes, decorated with bright images of a horse and a rooster - both symbols of moving forward to new successes!
Details on the set:
• Pattern “Red Horse” on “Spring” shape
• Porcelain material
• Decoration: painting overglaze monochrome, gilding. Decals hand-decorated with elements of hand painting, gold hand-painted.
• Author: The author of the painting is A.V. Vorobevsky, National Artist of the Russian Federation
• The author of the “Spring” shape is S.E. Yakovleva, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation
• Aleksey Vorobyevsky (1906 - 1992) devoted his whole life to porcelain factory, already during his lifetime becoming a recognized classic of Soviet porcelain. The artist turned to the elegant motifs of Russian folk art. Reconsidering the elements of traditional Russian ornament, the master developed his own style: bright, colorful paintings with graphic precision. The “Red Horse” teapot set is one of the examples of this line in A.V. Vorobevsky works.
