The Rose Trellis egg is among the best-known of imperial eggs, its elegance and feminine beauty underscored by the intricate filigree work, encompassing the whole egg. The original egg was crafted by jeweler to the Russian imperial court Peter Carl Fabergé (1846–1920)and presented by Emperor, Nicholas II to his wife, Empress Alexandra, on Easter of 1907. The egg is currently located in the Walters Art Museum of Baltimore, Maryland.
