Saxony Glass Storage Jar

Keep the food fresh in the crystal-clear Saxony Glass Storage Jar. Both functional and charming, it's the perfect way to meet all of your storing needs. The jar is extremely versatile and one of our favorite uses for it is storage of salted cucumbers, which are fast and easy to make and taste truly wonderful! Here is our favorite salted cucumber recipe: Freshly-Salted Cucumbers in a Bag Ingredients: • Kirby cucumbers – 2 lb (about 10) • Salt – 1 tbsp • Dill – 1 bunch • Garlic – 3-4 cloves • Large Ziploc bags • Fresh Black Currant leaves (chopped) – only when available Directions: 1. Trim both ends of each cucumber, finely chop dill and garlic. 2. Place all ingredients into plastic bags – large Ziploc bags work well. Shake well and place in the refrigerator. 3. Shake each bag to re-mix everything every 1-2 hours. Do not open the bags. 4. The cucumbers will be ready in 6-8 hours. 5. When done, transfer everything to your favorite glass jar for storage.
