Frail and iridescent with all the colors of the rainbow, mother-of-pearl is a very close relative to pearl. Born in the same shell, both pearls and mother-of-pearl are among the the very first materials, used by early humans to make beautiful jewelry. Pendant comes on a string of freshwater pearls, the color of which perfectly underlines the shell color.
