It's supposed to be a child's toy, but I used it in the Kitchen to hold table salt, pepper, and kosher salt. It's perfect for this function; everything in one small place on the cabinet. I've given 4 as gifts for the same purpose and everyone loves it.

Think outside the toy box--

I made this into a salt and pepper box for the kitchen. A visitor like it so much, I gave it to him and ordered 4 more for gifts and to replace mine. Layered, table salt, cracked pepper, then Kosher salt into the box - keeps all in a convenient small space on my counter.
