The Old Testament says about the appearance of God as three angels to Abraham and Sarah. God promised Abraham to be born among his offsprings in order to save people from the Fall and to open the Paradise gates again. Since ancient times, the Church interprets this event as a prophecy about the future sacrifice of Christ. The famous icon painter Rublev created a new composition in the form of a circle with three angels sitting at the table. In a circular motion, the angels, infinitely reflected in each other, create a completely new image of the triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
