Zhostovo painting is an old Russian folk handicraft of painting originally on metal trays, which still exists in a village of Zhostovo in the Moscow Region. It appeared in the early 19th century. This Easter egg on a stand is decorated with an image of hand-painted flowers on the red background which follows the Zhostovo technique and style.
