Imperial Golden Coronation Egg Jewelry Box with Carriage (Large) is a decoration inspired by the Coronation egg. Coronation is a jewelry egg, one of the fifty-two imperial Easter eggs, crafted for the Russian Imperial family by the talented goldsmith Peter Carl Fabergé (1846–1920). The Egg was made in memory of the 1896 coronation ceremony of Nicholas II. It was executed by jewelers Michael Perkhin, Henry Vigstrem, and George Stein, who created a miniature copy of a horse-drawn carriage. This important symbol of Russian history was presented as a gift to the wife of the Emperor, Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.
- MATERIAL: A metal alloy that is durable and environmentally friendly. The casting of the egg is carried out using the old wax method. The main background of the egg is applied and the details are decorated by hand with cold, colored enamel. The enamel retains its color and gloss for many years. The egg will remain in its original form for more than one decade. Depending on the model, an egg is manually decorated with high-quality sparkling rhinestones and pearls. Packaged in a gift box.
