This handmade box is made of papier-mache and decorated with a print art of the famous Russian fairy-tale “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” by A.S. Pushkin. The artist creates the entire plot with a brush by making touch-ups on the print, reviving the print and creating a three-dimensional painting. Other materials used in the construction of the box are linseed oil, varnish, tempera, and gold leaf.
